Eagle Heights Wildlife Foundation has transitioned over recent years and deep rooted it's standing as a well regarded non-profit organisation. Since management changes in 2017, the centre has focused on developing a great reputation for engaging visitors in our educational displays and offering a traditional and inclusive day out. We have a huge focus on 'conservation at home' and take great pride in promoting ways to make small changes that make a big difference. Job Description
We are looking for an enthusiastic, conscientious and hardworking individual to join our passionate team of keepers. Daily tasks include cleaning, feeding and maintaining the Mammal section. Our collection includes Meerkats, Alpaca, Sheep, Goats & pigs. Experience with small mammals is essential. References for this experience will be required. Maintenance work is also part of the role, repairing enclosures and replacing old or tired parts of housing. The successful candidate will also be required to host experiences such as our very popular 'Meet the Meerkats' experience. A good work ethic and sense of humour are also essential! We are a small, friendly team and all work closely to maintain our amazing reviews surrounding service, so team players need only apply. Every team member here is extremely enthusiastic and passionate about their job and wildlife in general, this is something we strongly prefer in a candidate. Salary dependant on experience. Full driving license required. Not easily accessible by public transport so own transport essential Unfortunately we are not able to offer visa sponsorships at this time, applicant must already have the right to work in the UK - evidence will be required.
